Princess Beatrice should rethink her wedding plans to avoid the backlash that Princess Eugenie received.

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s eldest daughter will tie the knot with her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi this year. The palace has not announced the details of the upcoming royal wedding yet, but the bride has been warned ahead to reconsider her wedding plans.

“I think they’re going to have to ‘rethink’ the arrangements for Beatrices’ wedding,” royal correspondent Jennie Bond told Christine Lampard who was stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on ITV’s “Lorraine.”

“She’s marrying a man called Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and I think they were planning something along the lines of Eugenie’s wedding. But there were outcries over security costs for the taxpayer and I don’t think they’ll want a similar embarrassment for Beatrice so I imagine that will be scaled down somewhat.”

A palace spokesperson told Express that the cost of Princess Beatrice’s big day will be funded privately. Princess Eugenie’s lavish wedding was criticized because it cost the taxpayers millions of pounds when she was just a “minor royal.” Both Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are not full-time working royals like their cousins Prince William and Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice is expected to announce her wedding date on the second week of the month. An insider told Daily Mail’s Charlotte Griffith that the ceremony might take place early in June and was described as “early summer” because the “racing-obsessed” Queen will not like an interruption to her favorite meeting this year which starts on June 16.

A source said that that it seemed impossible to cement Princess Beatrice’s wedding but at least she got a date to announce it. It will reportedly happen after the opening of Parliament and Christmas and New Year.

With Princess Beatrice joining the rows of married royals soon, some royal fans are already looking forward to seeing her own mini-me. The British bookmakers are offering even odds that Princess Beatrice will make a pregnancy announcement within the year. The royal family might welcome four royal babies if Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie will also get pregnant.
