Princess Charlotte, Prince George Have 'Massive' Morning Fights Over This, Prince William Says

Prince William has revealed that two of his kids with wife Kate Middleton often argue when it comes to one part of their family's morning routine.

The Duke of Cambridge, 39, shared some insight into their family's morning ritual at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England, in a special Christmas episode of Apple Fitness+'s "Time to Walk" series that debuts Monday.

According to the father of three, Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 6, usually get into an argument on most mornings as they have different tastes when it comes to the music they want playing at the start of their day.

"Most mornings there's a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning," the second in line to the British throne was quoted by People as saying. "And I have to, now, basically prioritize that one day someone does this one, and another day it's someone else's turn. So George gets his go, then Charlotte gets her go. Such is the clamor for the music."

Prince William — who also shares 3-year-old Prince Louis with Duchess Kate — said that one of his children's favorite songs at the moment is Shakira's "Waka Waka," adding, "There's a lot of hip movements going along. There's a lot of dressing up."

According to the duke, his kids often have a full-on dance party in the kitchen, with Princess Charlotte using the opportunity to show off her dance skills. The 6-year-old, who takes private ballet lessons, would run around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet gear, her dad said.

"She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing," Prince William continued. "It's a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around, and, and singing."

Prince William previously revealed that his daughter "loves dancing" while speaking to Malta's former leader Joseph Muscat and his wife Michelle Muscat on Commonwealth Day in 2018.

In the same year, Princess Charlotte stole the show during a celebration of the RAF centenary. The audience was delighted when they saw the then-3-year-old royal by the window swaying her body when she heard the music.

Princess Charlotte's older brother also learned ballet at his school, Thomas's Battersea. "George is doing dancing as well. He loves it," Prince William previously said.

Music has played a significant role in Prince William's life since his childhood. In his "Time to Walk" episode, he also recalled how his late mother, Princess Diana, would sing in the car when she drove him and his younger brother Prince Harry to school.

"One of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time, and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly, is Tina Turner's 'The Best,'" Prince William said as he took listeners on a walk through his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham Estate. "Because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment."
