Princess Diana made Prince William and Prince Harry wear girl's shoes.

In a throwback photo shared on Instagram, Prince William can be seen with Princess Diana. The Duke of Cambridge is wearing a white shirt and printed shorts with white socks and a pair of Mary Jane shoes.

In another shot, Prince William appeared bored as he played with Princess Diana’s bag. The prince’s shoes got one of the netizen’s attention.

“Is that a girls shoes he wearing…LMAO,” the online user commented.

Just like Prince William, his younger brother, Prince Harry, was also photographed wearing a pair of red shoes for girls. In fact, the footwear was very similar to the pair Princess Charlotte wore.

A Twitter user shared a snap of Middleton carrying her daughter alongside a photo of the Duke of Sussex when he was still a child. Princess Charlotte is wearing a floral dress with a pair of red shoes. On the other hand, Prince Harry looked adorable in his matching white and blue shirt and shorts which Princess Diana paired with red Mary Jane shoes.

According to Kate Taylor, Princess Charlotte’s red shoes were actually hand-me-downs and it was the same pair Prince Harry wore when he was a kid. The cute footwear was reportedly Prince Harry’s favorite. In fact, he can be seen wearing it in different official portraits with Prince Charles, Princess Diana and Prince William.

“Even though we think of Mary Jane-style shoes like these as being exclusively for little girls, Prince Harry looks about as masculine as a little boy can be in his little shoes!” Taylor wrote.

Prince Harry and Prince William were very close to their mom. Both witnessed their parents’ rocky marriage and how they used to bicker. It came to a point when the two princes couldn’t hold it anymore and yelled at their father “I hate you” for making Princess Diana cry.

According to Andrew Morton in his 2011 book “William and Catherine: Their Lives, Their Wedding,” the little Duke of Sussex was affected with the Prince and Princess of Wales unhappiness so he attacked the heir, beat Prince Charles on the legs with his fists and told the future king he hated him for making Princess Diana cry.

Prince William had a similar encounter with their dad. Katie Nicholl shared the incident in her book “William and Harry.” According to the royal biographer, the Duke of Cambridge lashed out the future king during a heated argument and told Prince Charles “I hate you so much” while asking him why he made Princess Diana cry all the time.
