Princess Diana’s car crash in Paris, France was believed to be more sinister than it was portrayed to be. And now, new details emerged and confirmed that not everything that was spotted in the area was recorded in the official reports.

On the podcast “Fatal Voyage: Diana Case Solved,” American couple Jack and Robin Firestone were interviewed because they were the first two people who stumbled upon the crash scene at the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris.

Robin said that she still remembers the scene vividly as though it just happened yesterday.

“As we entered the tunnel, there was definitely unusual traffic. It was a slowdown. We were trying to peek ahead to see what was coming up, but at the same time, we saw these flashing lights bouncing off of the tiled walls from the interior of the tunnel,” she said.

Robin also remembers seeing some action and activity in the area, which included a bunch of cars with blacked-out windows. She soon found out that one of the vehicles had Princess Diana inside. Jack also shared his version of events.

“I looked toward the westbound lane and saw this carnage, the metal of the car just crushed like an accordion. I noticed that there were — this was very odd — motorcycles parked very neatly on the median strip, maybe about somewhere from six to 10 motorcycles. That really struck me as odd,” he said.

Former homicide detective Colin McLaren said that the official reports from Princess Diana’s car crash scene didn’t make any mention of two cars with blacked-out windows. As such, there have been rumors that Princess Diana’s death is more sinister than what it looks.

There have also been several conspiracy theories surrounding the royal’s death. At some point, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were also blamed for her demise. Queen Elizabeth herself had her own theory about the accident. After learning about the Princess of Wales’ passing, she said that someone must have oiled her brakes.
