Princess Eugenie To Announce Pregnancy Before Sister Beatrice, Bookmakers Reveal Odds

Princess Eugenie is expected to announce her pregnancy before her older sister Princess Beatrice does.

Princess Eugenie married her then-boyfriend and now-husband Jack Brooksbank in October 2018. There have been rumors that she is already pregnant, but the palace never confirmed it.

According to bookmakers from Mybettingsites.co.uk, Princess Eugenie is likely to make a pregnancy announcement before her sibling Princess Beatrice does. The odds of Princess Eugenie announcing her pregnancy this year are at 5/1. Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice’s odds of announcing her baby news in the same year as her wedding are at 8/1.

Many have been looking forward to Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy announcement. Last year, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes revealed that the royal’s pregnancy was slashed to 1/4 and they predicted that she was the next royal up for motherhood after Meghan Markle.

“It looks like the royals are getting broody,” Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said. “With Meghan's first on the way and Kate's odds of baby number four continuing to tumble, we've once again cut odds on Eugenie announcing a pregnancy.”

Princess Eugenie sparked pregnancy rumors when she accompanied Queen Elizabeth II for an engagement on Maundy Thursday. The royal was photographed wearing a floral Erdem dress and her stomach was slightly bigger than usual, prompting royal watchers to speculate that it was a baby bump. Apparently, it was not. It has been over nine months since the sighting and Princess Eugenie never announced her pregnancy. She was also spotted several times after the photo with an alleged baby bump and she didn’t look pregnant.

Meanwhile, aside from Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, many are convinced that Markle will also make a pregnancy announcement soon. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were stepping back from their royal duties in January.

Royal correspondent Omid Scobie said that the biggest thing for the Sussexes is the launch of their foundation. He added that they would focus on what they have on the table and “possibly another baby,” so the Sussexes might also make a pregnancy announcement this year.
