Princess Eugenie Reportedly ‘Complains’ Kensington Palace ‘Too Small,’ Planning To Move
Princess Eugenie is reportedly planning on moving out of Kensington Palace because Ivy Cottage has become too small for her and Jack Brooksbank.
Thomas Mackie, a journalist for Express, revealed that Princess Eugenie was spotted scouting for a multi-million-pound property in west London just days before her wedding to Brooksbank on Oct. 12. The house that she looked at is located on an exclusive garden square where homes sell for $25 million and above.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter was seen checking out a seven-story house. The property is being renovated and is currently covered with scaffolding, but Princess Eugenie was still able to go inside using what looked like her own key. According to Mackie, two of the seven floors in the property will be converted to a two-story penthouse.
At present, Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank are still residing in the Ivory Cottage in Kensington Palace. Their home has three bedrooms, but a source said that it is still too small for the couple who is planning on starting their own family soon. But compared to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage, Princess Eugenie’s home is still bigger.
“They have always planned to move into their own home. Eugenie has her own wealth from her family and Jack’s family is also wealthy. It was only a matter of time before they sought somewhere a bit larger to live after their wedding was out of the way,” a source said.
But contrary to the report, Buckingham Palace claimed that Princess Eugenie has no plan to move out as of the moment.
Other royals that live in Kensington Palace include the Duke and Duchess of Kent, the Duke, and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Prince William and Kate Middleton live in a 21-room suite with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
