Priyanka Chopra wants you to know that not only is her husband Nick Jonas a feminist, but he is also quite the strong defender.

As reported by Buzzfeed, New York Magazine’s The Cut published a piece in December 2018 about their marriage titled, “Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s Love For Real?” The article has since been taken down, but, as we all know, the internet lives on forever. The presented sentiment in the piece was that their union was purely motivated by outside forces, such as her career and public profile.

Following the public outrage, the publication removed the article and published a statement saying the story did not meet their editorial "standards."

When speaking with The Sunday Times regarding the aforementioned drama, Chopra said she “didn't comment” when the article came out. However, it turned out she didn’t need to.

“I went up to my hotel room to find Nick, Joe [Jonas], [now sister-in-law] Sophie [Turner], and my mum furiously responding to the article on their phones,” Chopra said. Upon seeing that, she thought, "I'm having a great moment, nothing is going to burst my bubble."

Following the conversational trajectory of social media, the former “Quantico” actress then discussed the criticism she had received about the number of wedding posts she had recently shared. She asked, “If I wasn’t a famous person and I’d just got married, don’t you think my Instagram would have photos of me and my husband?”

Only time will tell what other unfortunate statements Chopra will have to swerve, but I have a feeling Priyanka and Co. will be able to handle anything that comes their way just fine.
