Queen Elizabeth II has another great-grandchild to spoil and love, and the monarch couldn't be happier.

On Tuesday, the Queen made a rare comment about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first child, who was born on Monday, May 6, during her latest outing with husband Prince Philip, Hello! reported. While attending a luncheon for members of the Order of Merit in Windsor, Queen Elizabeth was asked by one guest if life was good for her at the moment, to which she replied, "Yes, thank you."

Another guest then congratulated the monarch for the new addition to the royal family, adding that she now has another great-grandchild.

The Queen replied, "I know," before adding that she now has eight of them.

Aside from Prince Harry and Markle's firstborn, the monarch also has three great-grandchildren from Prince William and Kate Middleton: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Meanwhile, her granddaughter Zara Phillips and husband Mike Tindall are parents to Mia Grace and Lena Elizabeth, while Peter and Autumn Phillips have Savannah and Isla.

Meanwhile, the luncheon marked Prince Philip's first high-profile public appearance since he got involved in a car accident back in January. But while the duke may have had a trying time over the past few months after being forced to give up his driver's license, the 97-year-old royal reportedly looked "delighted" over the birth of his newest great-grandchildren, the outlet reported.

In addition to the monarch and her husband, the luncheon was attended by several notable names, including Sir David Attenborough, artist David Hockney, World Wide Web inventor Sir Timothy Berners-Lee and former Commons Speaker Baroness Boothroyd. Formed in 1902 by Edward VII to recognize leaders in the arts, sciences, culture and military, the Order of Merit is limited to only 24 living members, which also includes Prince Philip.

But it isn't just Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip who are joyous about the new addition to the royal family. Though he was on an official visit to Berlin during the time of Baby Sussex's birth, Prince Harry's father, Prince Charles, also opened up about his grandchild.

"We couldn't be more delighted at the news and we're looking forward to meeting the baby when we return," he said, according to Sky News reporter Rhiannon Mills.

Prince Harry's older brother, Prince William, and Kate Middleton are also "absolutely thrilled" to welcome their nephew. While at the launch of King's Cup Regatta trophy at the Cutty Sark in London, the second-in-line to the throne said he was looking forward to seeing his brother experience the pains and joys of parenting.

"Obviously thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and obviously looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down. I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting," Prince William joked, according to Hannah Furness, royal correspondent for The Telegraph.
