Queen Elizabeth Offers Kate Middleton ‘Public Show Of Support’ By Doing This
Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton’s recent joint engagement was scheduled on purpose.
The Duchess of Cambridge waited for seven years to score a joint outing with the monarch. Queen Elizabeth II and Middleton did their first shared outing back in 2012 and only repeated it this year.
According to Diana Clehane, author of “Imagining Diana,” the timing of Middleton’s day out with Her Majesty was “no accident.” Palace insiders told her the reason behind it has something to do with the rumors that she favors Meghan Markle more than Prince William’s wife.
“Her Majesty is aware of all the attention her relationship with the Duchess of Sussex has gotten and all the media attention she is receiving surrounding her pregnancy,” Clehane’s source said.
“The Queen thought this would be a good time to offer the Duchess of Cambridge a public show of support. She is very fond of her.”
Queen Elizabeth II and Middleton were photographed sharing a light blue blanket in the back of their Rolls-Royce as they pulled up at King’s College and that only showed the “great affection” between the two.
Another source said that Queen Elizabeth II is very pleased with the way the Duchess of Cambridge conducts herself, supports Prince William and treats their three children Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 1.
Another thing that the monarch loves about the future queen consort is that she never seeks to be the center of attention. Middleton has always refused to comment on issues involving the royals.
On the other hand, the Duchess of Sussex was partly blamed when her close friends spoke with a U.S. publication to defend her from her critics. Many believed that the anonymous sources won’t speak up without Markle’s approval.
In related news, when Queen Elizabeth II and Middleton were seen together, many noticed how Middleton “kept an eye” on the monarch. Omid Scobie and Emily Andrews felt that the Queen was “vulnerable” during the outing.
In fact, Andrews was “fearful” that something could happen to the Queen. However, she noticed how Middleton was always a step behind keeping an eye on her grandmother-in-law.
