Queen Elizabeth II was photographed looking down amid Prince Philip’s hospitalization.

On Friday, the monarch was spotted arriving at King’s Cross station. Queen Elizabeth II is stunning in her pink dress and coat. She also wore a headscarf and was carrying her signature bag.

New Idea shared shots of the Queen’s arrival and in one photos, she was caught looking down. Her Majesty is set to start her traditional Christmas holiday at her Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The Queen’s sighting happened just hours after it was reported that her husband Prince Philip has been hospitalized. The Duke of Edinburgh traveled to King Edward VII Hospital in London for observation and treatment of his pre-existing condition. His admission was reportedly a “precautionary measure” on the advice of His Royal Highness’ doctor.

However, there was nothing to be worried about the duke. A source told People that Prince Philip was fine and did not travel by ambulance. His admission to the hospital was actually planned and not some sort of an emergency case.

“It was a planned admission, and he walked into the hospital unaided,” the source said.

Prince Philip rarely makes public appearances following his retirement. In fact, he skipped Remembrance Sunday last month. A source told Daily Star that the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh have been living separately.

The duke hardly spends time at Buckingham Palace. Instead, he enjoys most of his time in Wood Farm. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II’s distance doesn’t indicate any marital problems.

Queen Elizabeth II reportedly agreed for Prince Philip to be away from the palace because he deserves to enjoy a “proper retirement.” The Queen knows that if her husband stays near her and in the center of the royal life, he will be obliged to get involve and that will defeat the purpose of his retirement.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on Nov. 20.
