Queen Elizabeth Should Strip Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Of Royal Titles: TV Presenter

A British TV presenter believed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would stop talking about the royal family if their royal titles were removed.

Royal biographer Angela Levin, the author of "Harry: A Biography of a Prince," joined Nana Akua on "GB News." The pair talked about Prince Harry's wife, and the royal scribe mentioned how the duchess hated to be a royal but kept using her title. At this point, Akua shared her thoughts on the removal of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal titles.

"I actually think the Queen should strip them off their titles. I think that's the only answer that will stop them from talking," Akua said.

However, Levin argued that the Queen could not do it.

"It has to be done by the government, and she can't really," Levin said, referring to the monarch's lack of power to remove Prince Harry and Markle's titles.

Although the Queen couldn't do anything about it, Akua suggested writing a petition and asking the government to remove the Sussexes' titles.

"I think, there should be a petition about stripping them off their titles," Akua commented before encouraging Levin to do it with her. "Let's do it, Angela, you and me will do that. I will definitely back that petition if there's a government that can do it, and we don't need for the Queen. I think a lot of people don't actually know that, so that's a spoiler right here. So, I think we need to get on with somebody. If you're watching now, I think we can do this. We'll do this together."

During their conversation, Levin said, "Meghan's truths are not many other people's truths." However, she believed that not all people understood it, so many still support the former "Suits" actress.

Prince Harry's biographer found his wife "unkind" and someone who only thinks of herself. Akua added that Markle wasn't aware that she was a diva. The presenter also shared Markle's podcast with Mariah Carey and how the duchess seemingly lectured the "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer when the latter talked about having diva moments to the point that Carey couldn't speak anymore.

"A lot of it doesn't sound like it's true, and she hasn't come and said anything about the things written in Tom Bower's book," Akua continued referring to Bower's unauthorized biography, "Revenge."

Meanwhile, royal pundit Lady Colin Campbell shared in one of her YouTube Q&A episodes that somebody "in a position of some form of influence" approached her to start a petition urging the parliament to remove Prince Harry's title. If Prince Harry's title will be removed, Markle will also lose hers.

"If my petition got more than a hundred thousand signatures, parliament would be obliged, obliged to debate the removal of titles in terms of Harry," the royal author added.

However, she declined to start the petition because for her, "it sets a dangerous precedent" and puts lawyers and people with titles to the possibility of "having a mob rule dictate what their rights should be."

In the same episode, she confirmed that a bill submitted on Dec. 9 about the removal of titles concerned Prince Harry. She also affirmed that the removal of the Sussexes' titles "has been an idea that has been floating around for some time."
