Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew will be spending a week with Queen Elizabeth II in Balmoral after the duke made an awkward mistake on Princess Beatrice’s birthday.

The Queen has always spent her summer holidays at her favorite home, Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Her Majesty usually spends three months in the place and is often joined by the other members of the royal family.

According to Dan Wootton of The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of York are spending a week with the Queen. The divorced couple who were rumored to be rekindling their romance reportedly arrived at the monarch’s summer residence separately.

Prince Andrew and Ferguson reportedly traveled to the Highlands in different flights to avoid being pictured together. Prince Andrew flew to Aberdeen airport on a private jet on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ferguson landed on a commercial flight on Thursday. Their daughters Princess Eugenie and Princes Beatrice are expected to join them.

“Prince Andrew and Sarah are at Balmoral as guests of the Queen and are expected to be there for a number of days. They will be joined by their daughters for some of the holiday,” an insider said. “It’s not the first time they’ve been there as a couple in recent years but it’s significant because of all the rumours about them getting back together.”

The Queen has reportedly already given them a “private nod of approval.” However, despite the Queen’s go signal, the couple is determined to keep their romance under wraps.

Prior to Prince Andrew and Ferguson’s vacation with the Queen, the Duke of York made a huge mistake online when he greeted Princess Beatrice on her birthday. Prince Andrew attempted to share a sweet tribute for his eldest daughter but ended up using Princess Eugenie’s photos.

The post has since been deleted. However, not before the netizens were able to grab screenshots of the post. Royal fans made hilarious reactions of the “awkward” mistake Prince Andrew made.

“I never know who is Eugenie and who is Beatrice – thank god I’m not alone and their dad have the same problem,” one fan joked.
