‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star Nene Leakes Explains Why She Attacked Kenya Moore
On the Sunday night episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12, fans saw cast members Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore come close to blows. During episode 11, “Snake Bye,” Kenya accused Yovanna of being the “snake,” who recorded Cynthia Bailey’s conversation in which she slammed Nene.
Although some fans may have thought Nene crossed the line with the way she reacted to Kenya’s accusations, the Swagg Boutique owner explained why she became so aggressive during her argument with the former beauty queen.
On her YouTube channel, The Life of NeNe, the 52-year-old claimed Kenya broke an unwritten rule made by the cast. “She stretches and puts her finger all the way in my face. So let’s start right there,” Nene explained.
“So, there’s a rule, but you know the rules don’t apply for me, that when there’s a heated exchange, you do not get in people’s personal space. That’s a rule among us, especially ever since Kenya put the scepter in Porsha’s face, it has been a clear rule that when words are being exchanged, you stay out of people’s personal space,” she continued.
Nene claimed that Kenya’s behavior was unacceptable. “When she put her hand all the way in my face, listen, right over here in between my eyes, you know I wasn’t going to go for that. That’s crazy. Don’t do that because that’s going to get you jacked up girl,” she said.
“Putting your hand in somebody’s face — it had nothing to do with her. I was trying to talk to Cynthia. I wasn’t talking to her at all. So it was just crazy. I was only talking to Cynthia. She didn’t have to do that, because if I did it, all hell would break loose.”
Fans will have to tune to the next episode to see how much Nene and Kenya’s fight will affect the rest cast.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
