'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Stars Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker Are Calling Their Pregnancy A 'Blessing'; Reveal They Want A Boy
Kandi Burruss is finally dishing all the details about her pregnancy. The 39-year-old announced that she and husband Todd Tucker were expecting their first child together on Thursday. Both have daughters from previous relationships, but have wanted to have a child of their own -- or a family addition, as they frequently called it -- since getting married.
The "Real Housewives of Altanta" star told E! that this pregnancy has been a "blessing" for her and her beau. She hopes that the baby will serve as a fresh start for her entire family. Although he or she wont be here for several months, Kandi told the publication the baby has already brought about a change in family dynamics. The Grammy award winner said Mama Joyce, who had previously been very vocal about her dislike for Todd, has been "very supportive."
"It's a blessing for a new beggining," she said.
Kandi and Todd have not yet been able to find out the gender of their little bundle of joy. The "RHOA" cast member told E! that both she and her hubby are crossing their fingers for a boy. During the interview Todd told viewers to "pray for a boy." Kandi says that with two daughters in the home already "there's too much estrogen." Both she and Todd had previously expressed a desire to have a baby boy during Season 7 of "RHOA."
As we reported, Kandi and Todd got serious about having a baby in April. After several failed attempts to get pregnant the old fashioned way, the "RHOA" star told E! that she had decided to undergo In Vitro Fertilization. Fortunately it seems that decision paid off.
Kandi and Todd will welcome their first child together in January 2016. In the meantime both remain busy with their careers and filming for both "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and their spinoff series, "Meet The Tuckers." Bravo has not yet revealed when either will premiere.
