‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Star Yolanda Foster Shares New Details About Divorce From David Foster
Fans of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” were granted a glimpse into the shocking split between Yolanda and David Foster during the Season 6 finale on Tuesday. News of their relationship demise’s broke several months ago, though the details of their divorce were unknown until now. The 52-year-old former supermodel appeared on “Watch What Happens Live,” which aired immediately after the episode, where she dropped yet another bombshell about her breakup.
During the episode, host Andy Cohen asked several questions about Yolanda's divorce. She revealed that David sprung the split on her on Nov. 15, when filming for the show had already wrapped. She added that they talk occasionally, but are nowhere near as close as they once were.
Cohen then shared a preview of the “RHOBH” reunion. In it, Yolanda reveals just how blindsided she truly was by the end of her marriage. Sitting on a lavish velvet couch surrounded by her co-stars, she shares that her illness played a bigger role than anyone could have expected in the demise of her relationship. She commended David for taking such good care of her, but said that it took a toll on him. Yolanda added that she was hopeful that as she got better, so would their relationship — but that was not how things worked out.
“I didn’t think it was the end of the road,” she said. “I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well.”
Trouble in Yolanda and David’s relationship was first alluded to during Season 6, episode 16. The mother of three brought some of her “RHOBH” co-stars along to New York City for the Global Lyme Alliance Gala. The brief trip opened the eyes of many of her castmates, some of whom had lingering doubts about whether she was actually ill. After the big event, the ladies — as well as David and some of his friends — returned to their hotel to celebrate a successful evening. After a rooftop toast, Yolanda’s then-husband retreated to the suite to share a drink with another attendee. His friend asks if he is “feeling better,” seemingly referring to his marriage. David responds negatively, expressing that there is little hope left for them.
Yolanda filed for divorce on Jan. 12, according to E! News, though the paperwork lists Nov. 18, 2015, as their official date of separation. The pair announced their divorce in December, nearly a month after making the initial decision to go their separate ways. In her filing, Yolanda requested that her estranged husband cover the cost of legal fees and pay her spousal support. It is not known how much she was hoping to receive from him. Their divorce has not yet been finalized.
