‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’ Casting Rumors: Who’s Returning For Season 12?
It’s just about time to return to Orange County, California, with everyone’s favorite “Housewives.” Bravo hasn’t made any official announcements about who’ll appear in Season 12 of “Real Housewives of Orange County,” but a photo circulating online may tell fans all they need to know.
One of the cast members shared a picture of what appeared to be the cast doing shots at a bar. The photo features some staple “RHOC” cast members, like Meghan King Edmonds, Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge and, of course, the self proclaimed “O.G. of O.C.” Vicki Gunvalson. Fans may also recognize Kelly Dodd, who made her debut in Season 11 and Lydia McLaughlin from Season 8.
Meghan’s appearance in the photo, suggesting she’s returning to “RHOC,” should intrigue fans. It was previously reported that the new mother was leaving the franchise after a tame, baby-focused Season 11. Sources told Us Weekly in January that Meaghan wasn’t returning to the show.
The Twitter photo teases a potential newcomer, seen in the far left of the photo. The new addition to the “RHOC” cast appears to be Peggy Sulahian. The possible cast member can’t be tracked down on Twitter at this time.
An account attributed to her appeared on the social media site Thursday night and caused quite a stir among “RHOC” fans, suggesting that there will be drama between Peggy and Shannon when Season 12 premieres. The account has since disappeared however, which leads us to believe it wasn’t real.
Peggy isn’t the only potential newbie joining the “RHOC” cast for Season 12. In December 2016, Vicki posed with Brianna Stanko for photos on Instagram. It was her hashtags, including “#rhocinthemaking” and “#season 12,” that really got fans buzzing.
While we don’t know for certain who is returning to “RHOC,” we know who won’t be on the show in Season 12. Heather Dubrow, who appeared on the show for five years, announced her departure from the Bravo reality series on during her podcast, “Heath Dubrow’s World.” She assured fans that she would “miss the girls,” but said it was time to move on.
“First of all, my kids,” Heather said, citing another reason for her exit. “My oldest kids are now teenagers, and I just felt like they need to make their own decision about being on television and exposing their lives, and for me personally, I have some really cool, interesting opportunities that I want to explore. I don’t know where they’re going to go, but I want the opportunity to explore them.”
Heather released an official statement via Entertainment Tonight about her “RHOC” departure. She called her time on the show “an incredible journey.” Heather added that she was “proud” to have been a part of the cast and said “the door is always open” for a return.
“After a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to ‘RHOC’ this season,” she said. “These past five years have been a part of such an iconic piece of pop culture...However, at this point in my life, I have decided to go in another direction and do what’s best for my family and career.”
Many fans of the “Housewives” franchise weren’t surprised by Heather’s exit from the show after the drama she was involved in in Season 11. She and Kelly regularly had it out with one another. Heather found Kelly’s behavior “low based,” while Kelly thought Heather was “Miss Fancy Pants.”
Bravo hasn’t yet released a trailer for Season 12 of “RHOC.” Viewers will just have to wait to find out for sure which ladies will makeup the show’s cast.
