The Real Story Behind Katie Holmes’ Daughter Suri And Tom Cruise’s Relationship

Katies Holmes’ daughter Suri has not been reaching out to Tom Cruise despite a report claiming the child is eager to reunite with her father.

Holmes, who finalized her divorce with Cruise following five years of marriage, reportedly moved on to actor Jamie Foxx. While the “Dawson’s Creek” alum seemingly cut ties with her ex-husband, a new article suggests Suri has been desperate to reconnect with the “Mission Impossible - Fallout” star.

A rep for Holmes told Gossip Cop the OK! article claiming Suri was begging her dad to pay her a visit is false. The report alleges the 12-year-old had been trying to contact her father through phone calls, letters and voicemails.

A “source” reportedly told the tabloid Suri begged Holmes to allow her to have a relationship with her father. “He’s contacted Suri through a third party, who he trusts implicitly, to check in and make sure she’s OK. He wants her to know that he’s thought of her all this time and that he got all of her messages.”

The “insider” went on to claim Cruise was ready to be a part of his daughter’s life again. “Suri’s growing up fast, and he feels like he’s missed out so much,” said “the source.”

When Holmes and Cruise settled their divorce in 2012, the actress reportedly obtained primary and sole custody of their daughter.

Little is known about Cruise’s relationship with Suri. However, during the actor’s defamation case against Bauer Media, he stated his career made it “impossible” for him to travel and see his daughter.

In 2016, a source told Us Weekly the actor had “no relationship with Suri” at that point in time. “Tom hasn’t seen or even called Suri in about three years,” the insider said.

A year later, Holmes spoke with Town & Country and revealed Suri continued to remain her top priority despite her unpredictable schedule. “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now,” she explained.

“It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing better in the world than watching your child succeed.”

While Holmes has openly expressed her dedication to raising her daughter, Cruise has not been as forthcoming about detailing his relationship with Suri.
