Reese Witherspoon, Husband Jim Toth Party With Friends After Ryan Phillippe Exposé

Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth were in high spirits following the release of REELZ’s documentary about the actress’ life, particularly her marriage woes and divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe.

Last Saturday night, the Hollywood actress and the talent agent joined their friends for disco night. The couple even donned some major throwback outfits for the retro-themed costume party.

In a snap shared by Witherspoon on her Instagram, she is seen donning a black and blue striped, sequined dress while her husband rocked a burnt sienna turtleneck, red pants and a denim jacket with wide lapels. Toth accessorized with a gold chain necklace and he also sported aviators for the occasion.

Witherspoon wrote in the caption that they were giving off Saturday Night Disco vibes. Unfortunately, their 6-year-old son, Tennessee James, who is present in the photo, had to hit the sack early while they go enjoy the rest of the night with their pals.

Based on the clips and the photos Reese shared on her Instagram Story, she really did have a blast at the party. She even showed off some moves on the dance floor and revealed that her disco partner was Greg Kinnear, who also wore a late-‘70s ensemble, according to Daily Mail.

Jim also put on his dancing shoes at the party. He danced when Bee Gees’ “Night Fever” played and Reese joined him. The actress even shared a clip of their groovy performance and she captioned it, “I’m dancing with this guy!”

The couple’s outing came days after REELZ released an episode of its “Reese Witherspoon: The Price of Fame” docuseries that focused on the actress’ marriage woes with first husband, Philippe. The episode tackled how Reese’s rising career became a problem for Ryan.

“Right after Reese has this huge career-changing moment and is now Oscar-winning actress … things in her marriage were just getting progressively worse and going downhill,” biographer Lauren Brown said in the docuseries.

Brown added that there was this rivalry between the two and Phillippe wasn’t pleased with how quickly his then wife became such a big star following the success of 2001’s “Legally Blonde” movie. Ryan reportedly didn’t like that Reese’s career was overshadowing his spotlight.

The “Big Little Lies” actress and Phillippe put an end to their marriage in 2007 despite having two kids, Ava Elizabeth, who is currently 19, and Deacon, now 15. When Reese opened up about their divorce two years later, she admitted that it was very “tough” for her, so she had to work hard to feel better.

Reese and Jim married in 2011. They welcomed their son the following year.
