Reese Witherspoon Poses With Son Deacon Phillippe; Fans Notice His Resemblance To Father Ryan Philippe

Reese Witherspoon spent some quality time with her son, Deacon Philippe, and shared a photo of them on Instagram Thursday. Fans were quick to recognize the teen's resemblance to his father, Ryan Philippe.

In the photo, the 45-year-old actress and her son sat next to each other to pose. The actress donned a blue-and-white checkered outfit and completed her look with a straw hat. Deacon, who wore a white t-shirt a blue open button shirt, wrapped his arm around Witherspoon.

"Making sure we get some good photo options incase [sic] we ever need an album cover for the mother x son band I'm trying to convince @deaconphillippe to start with me," the actress wrote in the caption.

Celebrities and fans took to the comments to show their love and support for the mother and son duo.

"This one is a winner," author Kimberly Snyder commented. Actress Julianna Margulies responded to the post with heart emojis while Jennifer Garner simply liked the post.

Witherspoon shared the same photo on Twitter and fans couldn't stop reacting to it.

One of the fans said, "Wow. You both look great! I can't believe how much Deacon looks like his dad. Hope you had a great day with your son!"

However, another fan disagreed and wrote that only Deacon's hair was similar to his father's because his face looked more similar to Witherspoon's. "Deacon is sitting there with her WHOLE face lol… maybe his hair is his dads [sic]."

In response to Witherspoon's tweet, another fan wrote, "Looks a lot like you! I would have recognized him as your son if he was alone in the pic. Or as your brother."

Considering the "band" idea of the actress in the caption, one of the fans asked, "How many instruments do you play, Reese? (Your singing, as 'Walk the Line' will verify, speaks for itself.) Oh, and what's the name of the band? Have you decided on one?"

Witherspoon shares two kids—Deacon, 17, and Ava Elizabeth, 21—with her ex-husband Ryan. She also shares an 8-year-old son, Tennessee James Toth, with her husband Jim Toth.

On the work front, the actress will lend her voice to the musical comedy, "Sing 2," which is slated for release on Dec. 22.

As for Ryan, he will be seen in the comedy movie "Lady of the Manor," which is scheduled for a Sept. 17 release this year.
