Apple has recently stocked its online store with refurbished Apple Pencil 2 styluses. The Apple Pencil 2 will now be available for a lower price but will still have one of the best stylus pens out in the market. Here are some reasons to consider buying this refurbished product.

Price

As seen on the official Apple site for refurbished devices, the Apple Pencil 2 now costs $109. This price is $20 cheaper than its original price. This price has been the cheapest the device has ever been and would be a steal for artists needing this pen.

Compatibility

As of now, the Apple Pencil 2 is compatible with two specific iPad Pros namely the 2018 11-inch iPad Pro and the 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Many Apple devices are not compatible with this device but it’s highly possible that support will continue for this device for future releases. Apple is currently working on diversifying and improving its products to become independent smart devices. It’s possible that an Apple Pencil-focused update could announced soon to follow further into the company’s plan to keep pushing new services and make standalone products this 2019.

Charging Convenience

Instead of a lightning port on the Apple Pencil 2, the device is magnetically charged to the iPad Pro it attaches itself to. At best, the Apple Pencil 2 has a convenient feature which helps it charge up and always keep users frosty on where the device is.

Better Than The First Generation

Features added to the Apple Pencil 2 were mostly included as it wasn’t found on the first iteration of the device. Better grip, magnetic charging, and one flat side was added which greatly improves the device’s use in the long run.

As of now, Apple has yet to announce the next Apple Pencil release. The company has been focused on introducing new services and subscriptions this year. Apple didn’t even reveal any details about the iPhone 11 this year up until it was launched this September. Potentially, the same situation could happen to the Apple Pencil 3.
