Remaking ?Dirty Dancing?: ?The Time of My Life? (VIDEO)

The 1987 romantic flick “Dirty Dancing” will be remade, Lionsgate announced on Monday.

A massive box office hit, the film has the famous soundtrack “The Time of My Life,” shown in the finale dancing scene in which, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) lifts Baby (Jennifer Grey) up. The scene is one of the most identifiable images of the film.

With the announcement about the remake of “Dirty Dancing,” critics are already pondering if at all a remake of a classic film needs to be made.

Though the original choreographer Kenny Ortega will be directing the remake of “Dirty Dancing,” it’s hard to replace the iconic images of Johnny and Bay with any other actors.
