‘Resurrection’ Season 2 Spoilers: 6 Things To Know Before The Sept. 28 Premiere
“Resurrection” Season 2 premieres Sunday, but some fans are desperate to know what happened to their favorite residents of Arcadia. When audiences last saw “Resurrection,” military forces were being used against the Returned. Bellamy (Omar Epps) and Jacob (Landon Gimenez) were stopped as they were on their way out of town, and Bellamy’s crescent birthmark was revealed. So what will happen in Season 2? Here is what you need to know:
1. Jacob’s Grandmother Returns
“Game Of Thrones” star Michelle Fairley will star as Margaret Langston in “Resurrection” Season 2. Fred (Matt Craven) and Henry Langston (Kurtwood Smith) will be shocked by their mother’s return -- especially since she died 30 years ago. On top of that, she is now younger than they are.
Fred the Sheriff was the one to round up those who had returned in an attempt to kill them all. But the return of his mother might change his stance.
2. Margaret’s Secrets
Margaret took some secrets to the grave, and they will come back with her. Whatever she is hiding could still affect her whole family. Fred and Henry have to be honest about a few things as well. It won’t be easy to explain why the family business shut down.
3. Bellamy’s Memory Loss
Bellamy will be missing a week of memory when Season 2 starts. Bellamy won’t quite remember what happened after he and Jacob were surrounded by military forces. His memory will slowly come back to him, and he’ll have to piece together what happened. He’ll start to investigate if he could be a Returned.
4. Mysterious New Government Agents
New agents will arrive in Arcadia, and Bellamy will have to get used to higher-ranking agents taking over the mystery of the Returned. Actress Donna Murphy will be playing an agent who is now in charge of Bellamy. However, she doesn’t seem to have a name. In the “Resurrection” Season 2 episode 1 synopsis, she is mysteriously credited as “the elegant woman.”
5. Caleb Might Return
Caleb (Sam Hazeldine) disappeared from his jail cell in Season 1 and never Returned. When the Sheriff hears that someone is living in Caleb’s hunting shack, he worries that Caleb finally Returned again.
6. Janine and Tom’s Marriage
Janine (Lori Beth Sikes) left Pastor Tom (Mark Hildreth) after Rachael (Kathleen Munroe) returned and revealed that she was pregnant. Despite Rachel’s progressing pregnancy, it seems that Janine will try to work things out with her husband. However, Tom might not be as eager to work things out.
