Revealed: How Post-Credits Scenes Connect With Future Marvel Movies

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has opened up about post-credit scenes shown at the end of every Marvel movie and shared how they are connected to future Marvel releases.

The 49-year-old president admitted that not all post-credit scenes may lead to another installment but they are making an effort to set up Phase 5 and Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"The truth is, all of the tags are never just about the future. There are tags that are eating shwarma, Captain America saying you know you gotta learn patience, sometimes, you know, you wait for something that's not worth it," Feige told ComicBook in an article published Sunday. "So they are always fun for us."

He further explained that some of the post-credit scenes are going to connect with future Marvel movies while others won't. Feige noted that it is important to have more standalone projects in Marvel like "Ms. Marvel" and "Moon Knight."

However, he also wants interconnected movies and shows to continue that will eventually lead to larger stories. He explained that Marvel Cinematic Universe has set up post-credit scenes in order to connect with "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" and "Avengers: Secret Wars."

"A lot of what we've been doing has been building to this larger story," he added. "Obviously with The Kang Dynasty and the Multiverse Saga, and now I think people will, I hope, come along for the ride."

"Both where it's you're on the express train to the finale," he concluded. "Also when it's fun, as many of our Phase 1, 2 and 3 films were."

Considering Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming movies, fans will be witnessing "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" this year as it is slated to release on Nov. 11 and the official trailer of the highly anticipated movie has been dropped over the weekend.

Marvel fans will be treated with "The Marvels," "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" and "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania" in 2023. "Fantastic 4" and "Blade" are also expected to release next year but their release dates have not been announced yet.

Aside from movies, Marvel Studios will also release shows including "Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse" in December and "Secret Invasion" next year.
