Based on the surveillance footage, which has since been made public, the man, who was holding a bouquet of yellow flowers, rang the doorbell. The female homeowner peeked through the window, saw the flowers and opened the door. According to the report, the man might have given her husband's name when she opened the door.
Immediately, the man pushed the woman to the ground and struck her face with an unknown object. A second man who got out of a white vehicle parked nearby joined him in ransacking the home, followed by another man from a black sedan.
