Robert Pattinson Turns 29, Celebrates Birthday With FKA Twigs In New York
Robert Pattinson is an immortal and ageless vampire in the “Twilight” movie series, but the actor -- like other humans -- ages in real life. The British actor turned 29 on Wednesday -- with various websites speculating that he celebrated his birthday with his rumored fiancee FKA twigs (Tahliah Barnett).
Pattinson kick-started his career in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” in which he played Cedric Diggory. But he became better known after playing the sexy, brooding vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” movies.
OK Magazine has pictures of Pattinson and twigs roaming casually in New York City on Wednesday. The couple, dating since 2014, was spotted going for a cozy dinner in Manhattan's famed Little Italy neighborhood. The website also adds that the couple met with a friend before going back to their hotel.
Pattinson and twigs have not confirmed their engagement but the two made their first public appearance as a couple at the recent Met Gala event. Twigs also wore a ring on her engagement finger. With Pattinson by her side, twigs sashayed her way on the red carpet wearing a multicolored Christopher Kane dress. The “Glass & Patron” singer made headlines for her provocative dress that not only featured intricate cutouts on various body parts but also had a picture of male private parts on it.
The news of Pattinson's engagement to twigs surfaced when T-Pain, who is working with twigs on new music, accidentally said that the two were getting hitched. But he immediately recanted, saying it was an April Fool's Day joke. However, twigs has been spotted wearing the ring on her finger since quite some time now.
Prior to hooking up with twigs, Pattinson was linked to his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart. The pair reportedly separated after Stewart was spotted kissing her “Snow White And The Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. Stewart has not been linked with anyone since she and Pattinson broke up.
