Rosie O’Donnell recently expressed how much she misses and loves her children, including her estranged daughter, Chelsea.

On her Instagram account, the actress posted a throwback photo of herself with Chelsea, and her two brothers, Parker and Blake. O’Donnell captioned the photo by noting her three children’s ages. Parker is now 22, while Chelsea is 20 and Blake is 17.

The talk show host has two other kids, Vivienne, 14, and Dakota, 4. O’Donnell’s three eldest children were adopted when she was still with her ex-wife, Kelli Carpenter. Vivienne and Dakota were adopted by O’Donnell with her late wife, Michelle Rounds.

Last month, Chelsea told the Daily Mail that she is expecting a baby and said that she doesn’t want her adoptive mom to be part of her child’s life. “I’ve always wanted a family, and I’m looking forward to it. But Rosie will not be in my child’s life – and no, I don’t feel sad about that to be honest,” she said.

Immediately after her interview, O’Donnell took her thoughts to Twitter and said that Chelsea has been hurting her and their family “over and over.”

Two years ago, O’Donnell penned a lengthy blog post saying that Chelsea, who was just 17 at that time, has gone missing. In her post, O’Donnell revealed that her “mentally ill” daughter stopped taking her medications.

The actress’ rep also released a statement following Chelsea’s disappearance and wrote, “Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness. It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family and they just want her back safe.”

In May 2017, Chelsea told the Daily Mail that she and her mom had a huge fight after she got a tattoo. O’Donnell allegedly had spyware installed in Chelsea’s phone to track her down and found out that she got an ink on her body. She asked Chelsea to remove her clothes and show her the tattoo, but she refused. The incident escalated with O’Donnell allegedly threatening to hit her daughter with a wine bottle.

“She was holding it above her head and coming after me in her room. She kept trying to run after me and saying that if she really wanted to she could kill me, she’s that strong,” she said.
