Ruby Rose And Jess Origliasso Are Dating, Again, After Phoebe Dahl Breakup

“Orange Is the New Black” star Ruby Rose rekindled her romance with The Veronicas’ Jess Origliasso. The “Hook Me Up” singer confirmed the relationship during an interview with Australian radio station NOVA-FM Monday.

The couple, who previously dated in 2008, fell in love for the second time while filming a music video for new The Veronicas’ song, “On Your Side.” Rose stars in the video.

“It's me. Me and Ruby Rose. And it is our love story in this video,” Origliasso, 31, told radio host Kent “Smallzy” Small Monday. “It's about the dynamic, the highs and the lows of people in love, in a relationship.”

Origliasso was shocked they got back together. “We have been friends for eight years. A really long time and it was just honestly the craziest thing,” the musician explained. “We just reconnected over doing this video, she wrote and directed it, and is in it with us and we just sort of fell in love.”

Origlasso talked about having a relationship in the public eye. “Now we are quite protective of what we have, so obviously being able to be open enough but keeping a lot of it for yourself is something that we're very conscious of and I think it just depends on the people what you're willing to share,” she said.

The new relationship comes nearly a year after Rose, 30, split from former fiancée Phoebe Dahl, 28. “[Phoebe] remains very dear to my heart,” the Australian star tweeted Dec. 14, 2015. “I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of all we shared.”

Though they didn’t give a reason for the split, some speculated cheating after Rose posted a cryptic Instagram post a month after the breakup. She shared a meme of a sleeping baby, which read: “How I sleep knowing that I'm single and nobody cheating on me [sic].” Rose quickly deleted the post.
