Ryan Phillippe To Ring In 2016 With Fiancée Paulina Slagter; How Is The Newly Engaged Couple Celebrating New Year’s Eve?

Ryan Phillippe is ending his year on a sizzling hot note! According to reports, the “Secrets and Lies” alum was spotted soaking up the final days of 2015 under the sun with his fiancée Paulina Slagter in Miami, Florida.

But the recently engaged couple won’t be counting down the clock on the beach. E! Online reports that after the 41-year-old actor and Slagter, 24, conclude their beach date, they’ll be headed to an exclusive New Year’s Eve party.

For the second year in a row, Phillippe will be making an appearance at the Five Star New Year’s Eve party on Watson Island in Miami — an event that will include performances by Robin Schulz, Dave Sol, Marcos Noel and MZ Poppins. But despite the incredible talent set to perform at the bash, what will make Phillippe’s night so memorable is that he’ll be spending it with his soon-to-be wife.

People magazine reported that the sandy-haired artist popped the question to his girlfriend of four years over the holiday weekend. Slagter was seen showing off her engagement ring two days after Christmas while the two were grabbing lunch in Florida.

"They arrived in Miami on Sunday and had lunch at Seaspice, where they ate facing the river at the owner's table,” an insider revealed to E! News. “She was really cute and humble about the way she showed off the ring.”

During an interview with radio host Howard Stern in April, Phillippe gushed about his now fiancée, revealing how proud he is of her.

"She's awesome. When people see her they have these judgments because she could be a model but she's about to graduate Stanford Law," he said, adding that he’s excited to have a partner who is as invested in human rights as he is. "Also what's great about it — as you get older certain issues become more important to you. I'm very involved in civil rights issues, and so to be with a woman who could actually make an impact in the legal realm — that's a beautiful thing."

Looks like its safe to say 2016 is going to be a pretty good year for Phillippe!
