Ryan Reynolds Says Blake Lively Is Multihyphenate: 'Helped Me So Much In Deadpool'

Ryan Reynolds can't stop gushing over his wife Blake Lively as he promotes his upcoming movie, "Free Guy."

The 44-year-old actor appeared on SiriusXM Town Hall with Jess Cagle on Thursday and revealed that Lively, 33, helped him with his major on-screen projects, including "Deadpool."

"[Blake] is a really talented, multihyphenate kind of person in this, you know, weird burgoo of an entertainment industry that we work," Reynolds told Jess Cagle. "She's helped me so much in Deadpool, all kinds of movies that have been big successes. She's always got a lot of bricks in that wall."

The official handle of the radio station shared a clip from the interview on Twitter on Thursday.

The actor also opened up about the best part of being Lively's husband and how his wife helped him with “A++” writing over the years.

"I write on a lot of my movies. It's been a survival mechanism for me for a long time. Sometimes I'm credited, sometimes I'm not," Reynolds explained. "There's a lot of A++ writing that I've done that was actually Blake; Blake would jump in, grab the keyboard and [say] 'What about this?' And I'd be like, 'That's incredible!'"

"And you know, it's funny. I don't know. Maybe it's cause there's a, there's inherent sexism in the business. I will say that a lot of times, 'She wrote that, Blake like wrote that not me. That was, that was, that was her.' And it's like, they still, later on, repeat the story as 'I wrote it,'" Reynolds added.

The couple tied the knot in 2012 after dating for a year. Reynolds shares three kids -- James, 6, Inez, 4, and 21-month-old Betty -- with Lively. Moreover, the two actors recently celebrated their 10 years milestone of being together and recreated their first date.

Lively took to her Instagram Stories to share photos from the celebration and noted, "10 years later. We still go out on our “first date”. But in MUCH more comfortable shoes."

On the work front, Reynolds’ action-comedy movie "Free Guy" is slated to release on Aug. 11. The movie also stars Jodie Comer, Pokimane, Taika Waititi, Jacksepticeye, and Joe Keery in the key roles.

On the other hand, Lively will be seen in a thriller movie titled, "The Husband's Secret." It is based on Liane Moriarty's novel.
