SAG Awards: Selena Gomez Walks Barefoot Onstage, Jokes About Botox With Martin Short [Watch]
Selena Gomez has created a buzz anew after she walked barefoot onstage to present a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award alongside Martin Short. The 29-year-old singer and actress also cracked a joke about Botox with her co-presenter.
A fan tweeted a video of Gomez's epic moment at the award show which took place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday.
In the 14-second clip, the "Love You Like a Love Song" artist could be seen walking ahead of the 71-year-old "Innerspace" actor without any shoes on.
"Selena going barefoot infront of some of the biggest celebrities is actually the most selena gomez thing she could do," the fan wrote in the caption.
Another fan shared a clip showing the moment right after the two stars walked on the stage and addressed the audience.
"Its hard for me to express my excitement because the Botox is fresh," Short could be heard joking at some point in the video. After a few seconds of silence, Gomez answered, "Mine too."
Apparently, Gomez also had to walk barefoot on the red carpet earlier at the event because she broke her heels. A netizen even shared a clip showing the star falling, which led to her footwear getting damaged.
Interestingly, Gomez wasn't the only one who went barefoot that night. Another fan uploaded a photo of Nicole Kidman talking to Gomez at the venue. Both celebs were shoeless at that time.
On the work front, Gomez worked with Coldplay on the song "Let Somebody Go" last year. The music video for the said track came out earlier this month.
The singer and actress will be next seen in the second season of "Only Murders in the Building," which also stars Short and Steve Martin. Hulu shared a glimpse of the season last week.
Fans will also be able to see Gomez in a movie, "In The Shadow of the Mountain," which is based on Silvia Vasquez-Lavado's memoir of the same title. Helmed by director Elgin James, the project is currently under pre-production.
Short, on the other hand, has been a regular on "The Morning Show" as Dick Lundy since 2019. He has also been playing various characters on "Saturday Night Live" since 1984. Last year, he also appeared in the TV series "Schmigadoon!"
