Samsung Galaxy Tab S Perks Includes Samsung-Marvel Partnership

The newly announced Galaxy Tab S flagship tablet by Samsung Electronics Co. (KRX:005930) includes special gift content from nearly 30 partners, including Marvel Entertainment, which is offering users three free months of subscription services for Marvel Unlimited with the purchase of a Galaxy Tab S.

“Partnering with Marvel gives us the opportunity to bring our industry-leading mobile display technology to life. Through visual storytelling made possible by Marvel’s outstanding entertainment universe, Samsung’s Galaxy users will be able to enjoy the maximum of our product benefits,” Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics said in a statement.

A primary feature on the Galaxy Tab S is its high-resolution display. The newly announced tablet introduces the WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixel) Super AMOLED display to the market. Samsung’s partnerships to provide content for the Galaxy Tab S especially include a host of media companies in order to demonstrate the power and quality of its Super AMOLED display.

Other notable partners include Conde Nast and National Geographic. Users will also be able to watch Netflix and YouTube in Full HD 1080p resolution for the first time on a tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S Wi-Fi variant is now available for preorder and will launch in the U.S. in July. Release dates for the LTE variant will be announced later. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Wi-Fi model will sell for $399 while the Galaxy Tab 10.5 Wi-Fi model will sell for $499.
