Sarah Ferguson just shared a touching New Year’s message to all of her social media followers.

“Happy Happy New Year 2019. Looking forward to color and courage. Thank you all for such a great year of kindness 2018 #newyear #2019,” she tweeted, alongside a stunning photo of the Duchess of York wearing a yellow collared top. Behind Ferguson are equally beautiful yellow flowers.

Prince Andrew’s ex-wife had an eventful 2018 despite previously being at odds with her ex-husband’s side of the family. Ferguson attended two major royal events last year that served as her official comeback into the royal fold.

On May 19, Ferguson made her way to St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle after she got an invite from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend their royal wedding. However, the mom of two arrived in the venue by herself. Prince Andrew rode a car with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Ferguson is no longer considered a royal because she and Prince Andrew got a divorce in 1996. But her attendance at the royal wedding was a welcome delight among royal fans. Years ago, Ferguson didn’t score an invite to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding at Westminster Abbey.

The real reason why Prince William didn’t invite Ferguson to his wedding remains unclear. But a source said that Prince Harry wouldn’t have done the same thing because he was always close to Ferguson.

“Harry gets on with Fergie really well. He thinks she’s hilarious, and they have a mutual adoration society,” a source who holidays at Verbier told Express.

Prince Harry is also rumored to be delighted to be part of Ferguson’s "red-setter mob" since the two of them are gingers.

Ferguson once again reunited with the royal family and even sat close to Her Majesty and Prince Philip when Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Oct. 12.

Prior to Princess Eugenie’s wedding, rumors swirled that Prince Philip may skip the occasion because he is at odds with Prince Andrew’s ex-wife. However, the Duke of Edinburgh’s attendance somewhat silenced the speculations that he has not yet forgiven Ferguson.
