Sarah Hyland Slams CVS Pharmacy After Not Getting Kidney Transplant Medication
Sarah Hyland is not happy with CVS Pharmacy's service.
On Tuesday, the "Modern Family" star took to Twitter to air her frustrations with CVS Pharmacy after they failed to notify her about her kidney transplant medication. The pharmacy initially promised to call her when her medicine would be ready for pick-up, but the store closed without informing her.
"Hey @cvspharmacy when you tell a kidney transplant recipient that her medication will be ready before you close and that you will notify her when it's ready to be picked up. DO IT BEFORE YOU CLOSE. PEOPLE LIKE ME CANT AFFORD TO GO WITHOUT MEDICATION," Hyland wrote.
One Twitter user commented on Hyland's tweet saying that she could have looked up when the store closes so she could have avoided her predicament. "Or you could check to see what time they close like everyone else does," @copchick1 wrote.
Hyland admitted that she did call, but it was already too late. "Called at 9:02pm. They were closed. But yes you're right. I'm an idiot," the "Greek Charming" star replied.
In April 2015, Hyland opened up about her kidney transplant. According to her, she was born with a number of health problems.
"I was born with so many health issues that doctors told my mother I would never have a normal life. And she said, 'You're right, she won't — but it won't be because of her health,'" Hyland told Seventeen (via Us Weekly). "When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me: If I can't have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one. If you set your mind to something, you'll achieve it."
In other news, Hyland was criticized in November after sharing a sexy bed selfie with boyfriend Wells Adams. In the snap, the couple is lying in bed cuddling with the "Bachelor in Paradise" star's dog, Carl. However, some Instagram users reacted negatively because they seemed to be nude in the photo.
Hyland apologized to those who were offended by their photo. "Not putting her on blast. She just brought to my attention that the picture I posted might have been inappropriate since we're in bed," Hyland wrote. "So I just have to say I'm so sorry...FOR POSTING AN ADORABLE PICTURE BECAUSE CARL WAS ACTING LIKE THE NUGGETIEST SNUGGLW BUG! Couldn't let that moment pass without getting a picture."
However, Adams was not sorry and even clapped back at their critics. The reality star took to Instagram to share a snap of himself with Hyland giving a middle finger. In another post on Twitter, Wells wrote: "Today I learned the phrase 'clap back.' So, that's neat."
