Sarah Jessica Parker Store: Where And How To Buy SJP Pieces At MGM National Harbor
It was only a matter of time before Sarah Jessica Parker sashayed her way into retail, thanks to the success of her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker footwear and accessory lines. The “Sex and the City” star will be opening her first brick-and-mortar retail store this month near Washington, D.C., MGM National Harbor announced in a news release Tuesday.
The new boutique will include Parker’s previous footwear and accessories lines as well as her debut line of little black dresses, called SJP LBD. The SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker boutique is slated to open at MGM National Harbor when it begins welcoming visitors in National Harbor, Maryland on Dec. 8. In addition to Parker’s store, the new $1.4 billion resort along the Potomac River will include restaurants, a spa and a casino, among other amenities.
“When curating our retail collection, we first and foremost wanted to align ourselves with a luxury brand that represents style, elegance and, most of all, fun,” MGM National Harbor’s general manager Bill Boasberg said in the release.
Shoppers and SJP fans will be able to shop SJP accessories and handbags that will range from $30 to $695. Footwear will start at $240, and the star’s SJP LBD collection will be available at $395, according to the release. The new Sarah Jessica Parker boutique be open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. local time starting Dec. 9.
Parker’s items have been sold through retailers like Amazon, Bloomingdale’s and Zappos, yet this is the “Divorce” actress’s first time having an actual store — a project she has remained involved with every step of the way.
"After many trips on @amtrak to DC, on-site construction visits, meetings on design and curating a very special collection we are opening our first standalone @sjpcollection store inside the brand new @mgmnationalharbor," Parker wrote on Instagram Tuesday. "I'm counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until we officially open the doors. Because perhaps then I will actually believe it's real."
