Sarah Jessica Parker Teases ‘Sex And The City’ 3 Movie, Slams Carrie Bradshaw As ‘Childish’

Many “Sex and the City” fans hope for a third movie, but actress Sarah Jessica Parker has moved on to a new project, the HBO series “Divorce.” While promoting the new show, Parker didn't shy away from questions about “SATC” and her beloved main character, Carrie Bradshaw. After an interviewer called the flaky journalist romantic, Parker labeled her as “childish.”

When “CBS Sunday Morning” anchor Jane Pauley said Bradshaw was "so romantic" and that "it had to be love, love, love, love all the time," Parker agreed on Sunday. But she also added that Bradsahw is “childish, in a way.”

While Parker has moved on from “SATC,” she said she is proud of the groundbreaking show, which lasted six seasons. “It's a privilege,” she said about being on the series. “I feel we are a fairly intimate group, this gang of 10 million that watch the show. Do you know what I mean? So, I feel it behooves me to be responsible to [them], and for every single thing I do.”

The franchise went on to create two blockbuster films, and many “SATC” fans would like to see Bradshaw’s story continue with a third flick. “[The idea] rests in the butler's pantry,” Parker said about another sequel. “It’s not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby.”

It’s not the first time Parker teased a possible “SATC” follow-up. “We have this very long and honored relationship with those women and men that watched our show,” the fashionista told Entertainment Tonight Online last month. “We aren't casual about it and we have to know that we are offering up something that is deserving of their time and affection and dollars for tickets. So, we consider all those things. That means we aren't being flighty with them. It's not on the table. It's in the warming drawer.”

If there is a third “SATC” film, it’s unlikely Parker will share the news on Twitter. Parker abandoned the social media platform for Instagram in 2014. Not surprisingly, she likes to post pictures of shoes.
