‘Scandal’ Season 6 Spoilers: Who Is The President In The Show’s 100th Episode?
“Scandal” Season 6, episode 10 will air on Thursday, April 13, and it will feature a parallel universe where Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) is not the president of the United States.
In the teaser released by ABC for Season 6, episode 10, titled “The Decision,” Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) will go against her gut and will not help alter the results of the election. Eight years ago, Olivia agreed to do so, and this secured Fitz’s seat at the Oval Office. The special episode will reveal what could have happened had Olivia said no to Hollis Doyle (Gregg Henry) and Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young).

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Goldwyn confirmed that his character won’t be the president in the 100th episode. But the actor did not reveal the name of the president. “He’s not the president of the United States. He’s very different. It’s something of a study of how the circumstances of our lives shape our identity, how we see ourselves, and how we present ourselves to the world. It’s subtle, the difference, it’s just really interesting who he is and what he struggles with. He ultimately is quite different,” he said.
But whether or not Fitz and Olivia will be a couple in the 100th episode is something viewers need to watch out for. After all, Fitz was already with Mellie eight years ago.
Meanwhile, after episode 10, the storyline for “Scandal” Season 6 will take place in present time. By the looks of it, the upcoming 11th installment will focus on Huck’s (Guillermo Diaz) and Abby’s (Darby Stanchfield) fates and relationship with each other. In episode 9, Olivia discovered that Abby was the one who wanted Huck killed. The latter almost died, but was rescued at the last minute.
“Scandal” Season 6 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
