‘Scorpion’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 14 Synopsis, Promo Tease Team Scorpion’s New Mission [VIDEO]

“Scorpion” Season 3, episode 14 will focus on Team Scorpion’s new mission: saving a man who could jeopardize the water supply in Los Angeles.

In the promo released by CBS for “The Hole Truth,” Walter (Elyes Gabel), Cabe (Robert Patrick) and the rest of the team will go inside a sinkhole and risk their lives. The minute they get out, the sinkhole explodes. However, this isn't the last of their problems as the team also becomes worried about the possibility of the chemicals entering the sinkhole and contaminating the water supply of the entire city.

According to Spoilers Guide, Paige’s (Katharine McPhee) mom, Veronica (Lea Thompson), will still be part of episode 14.

In “Scorpion” Season 3, episode 13, titled “Faux Money Maux Problems,” Veronica helped Team Scorpion in stopping a grifter from producing fake money and spreading it in the United States. Veronica, who used to be a con artist, came up with an escape plan and saved not only herself, but also Walter and Paige. This is the second time that Veronica has reunited with her daughter on the CBS TV series. In Season 3, episode 9, Veronica visited Paige, only to leave her again without saying goodbye.

While speaking with TV Line, McPhee said that Paige and Veronica will continue to try improving their relationship with each other. “Paige goes through a process of really struggling with getting closer to her mother. But by the end, there’s a really sweet bond that gets created between the two of them, one that sort of mends some of the past,” she said.

Walter and Paige didn’t have a lot of scenes in “Scorpion” Season 3, episode 13, and it is unclear if they will be able to solve their issues in episode 14. But McPhee said that she’s certain Paige will come around sooner or later.

“Scorpion” Season 3, episode 14 will air on CBS on Jan. 23 at 10 p.m. EST.
