  • Sebastian Stan revealed he was insecure about his body while shooting with Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth
  • He started to work harder and ate a lot so that he can compete with fellow actors
  • Stan believes his body is in the best shape ever

Sebastian Stan has revealed that he used to be really insecure about his body while performing with actors like Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth for all the movies produced by Marvel Studios.

Speaking in an interview with Men’s Health, the 37-year-old actor who portrays the role of Bucky Barnes, popularly known as The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, confessed that he used to feel unconfident about his body while being on the set with actors like Evans and Hemsworth, who possess “massive” bodies.

The star added that he was so insecure around them that he pushed himself to train even harder at the gym, so that he could come close to his fellow actors. He also shed light on the day when he came back to the set and was a little bit bigger than he was in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

“I remember I showed up, and I was a little bigger than I had been in ‘The Winter Soldier’. The arm was a bit tight. I was losing circulation,” Stan said.

In August, a report from Men’s Journal revealed that the “I, Tonya” actor was doing much tougher workouts during “Infinity War” because he and his trainer, Don Saladino, knew that the actor would not be able to train much due to his hectic schedule.

Later in the interview, Stan also admitted that he stopped comparing himself to the likes of Hemsworth and Evans when he got to know that he was quite behind them in terms of muscles and continued to work on his body for himself only. Stan feels that he is “50 miles behind” those two and doesn’t think that he can reach to the point that Evans and Hemsworth have reached.

“My body right now is probably the best it has even been,” Stan said.

The acclaimed actor concluded by saying that he is really happy how his acting and Marvel movies have impacted the lives of people and when he sees that, body transformation doesn’t matter to him anymore.

Stan will next be seen in the upcoming Disney+ series “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier” which will air in 2020. The series will also star Anthony Mackie, Daniel Brühl and Miki Ishikawa in pivotal roles.

Other than that, Stan will also be a part of the movie “The Devil All The Time,” which also stars Bill Skarsgard, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska and Jason Clarke. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in 2020, as well.
