'Secret Headquarters': Owen Wilson Plays Superhero In An Iron Suit [Watch]
Paramount+ shared the trailer of the upcoming sci-fi movie, "Secret Headquarters" featuring Owen Wilson. The 53-year-old actor plays a superhero who has a secret headquarter located under a kid's home.
After the kid discovers the secret headquarters, he calls his group of friends and tries to save it when the hidden location is attacked by the villains.
The two-minute, 34 seconds trailer also features the group of kids trying out advanced gadgets with different powers including being invisible.
Some of the gadgets also gave them an immense amount of strength and they used this strength to win baseball matches in their school with ease.
Wilson's character enters the headquarters and introduces himself as an "IT guy" before turning into a superhero in front of the kids.
The next scene shows him revealing that he is a guardian of the planet while being chased by the cops.
The "Secret Headquarters" trailer was shared on YouTube by the official handle of Paramount+. The movie is slated to release on Aug. 12 exclusively on the streaming platform. The movie also stars Walker Scobell, Jesse Williams, Keith L. Williams, Momona Tamada and Michael Peña.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.
"Man Walker does look like a [sic] Owen Wilson jr just as much as he did a Ryan Reynolds jr. Hair dyes and good boyish looks work like a charm," one of the fans praised Scobell, 13, who was featured in the Netflix movie, "The Adam Project" alongside Ryan Reynolds.
Another one added, "This looks like a ton of fun. Sci-fi, kids, awesome tech? So formulaic yet exciting." A fan also praised the VFX in the movie, "Can’t wait to see this! Looks like they had a great VFX team!"
"Secret Headquarters" is helmed by directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost while the flick is penned by Christopher L. Yost, who is best known for Marvel movies "Thor: The Dark World" and "Thor: Ragnarok."
Considering Wilson's other upcoming projects, he will feature in movies like "Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again," "Paint" and "Haunted Mansion."
