Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner's Fans Clash On Twitter Over This Floral Dress

Kendall Jenner has sparked a Twitter debate after wearing a dress that Selena Gomez donned before her.

Over the weekend, Jenner shared a series of photos on Instagram and Twitter of herself in a pink floral Rodarte dress that Gomez wore in the music video for her single "De Una Vez" released earlier this year. Jenner modeled the $2,645 dress for her photoshoot with Vogue China in January, Us Weekly reported.

While two stars wearing the same outfit is nothing new, Jenner seemed to have angered some fans of Gomez when she quote-tweeted one of her fan accounts' posts comparing her and the singer.

In a since-deleted tweet, Jenner retweeted an account that posted side-by-side photos of her and Gomez in the dress. "kendall jenner pulling off this dress better than anyone else," the post read.

Jenner didn't mention Gomez and simply wrote, "had to take it home from set," but some fans took her move as shade toward the pop star. This then led to a small Twitter war over who styled the dress better.

"selena wore it better," one commented. "Selena the queen of this dress," another wrote.

"I swear on god it looks better on selena this dress need body like selena also this dress is latino so ofc would look better on the queen selena gomez," another added.

"No offense to Kendall’s fan but it fits Selena more <3 Also I don’t know if it’s true, but apparently Kendall tried to say that she wore this first or she owns the clothe, something like that. Like honey- no Selena wore this for her song so please stfu," a fourth netizen wrote.

Supporters of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star also felt that the model rocked the outfit.

"Kendall wore it better," one commented. "@kendalljenner pulling it off better than anyone else," a second user added.

"the prettiest girl ever. I'm speaking facts, kendall you are my inspiration ily ily," another wrote.

"U wore it better 10000 times bestie," another fan commented on Jenner's tweet.

Meanwhile, others said there was no need to compare the two because both looked gorgeous in the dress.

"no because there was no reason to compare kendall and selena over a dress they both looked stunning in... kendall should've just sat there and held her chicken instead of quoting that tweet to begin with... she knew good and well what she was doing," one commented.

"hey can you guys stop comparing Kendall and Selena? this is kendall's tweet so please respect Kendall. It's okay if you think Selena is better because everyone's opinion is different but don't judge Kendall, it's so embarrassing you know?" another added.
