Selena Gomez's Bold Lime Green Dress At The AMAs Had Deeper Meaning

Selena Gomez sent her fans into a frenzy by making a glamorous comeback at the American Music Awards (AMAs) after a gap of two years. The singer wore a lime green dress and rocked a bob cut at the star-studded event.

But if you think that it was just an ordinary dress, then you are probably mistaken.

According to stylist Kate Young, who helped Gomez get ready for the event, the dress had a deeper meaning. Speaking in an interview with Hollywood Life, the celebrity stylist revealed that the Versace dress highlighted a “bright and positive new chapter” for the musician.

For the uninitiated, the singer opted to wear a sexy lime green dress which perfectly accentuated her curves and teased an ample amount of cleavage. She donned two layers of gorgeous diamonds around her neck to complete the look.

Young further stated that the look was actually tried on Gomez when she was in New York doing a press tour for her latest songs. The dress was perfect for the “Lose You To Love Me” hitmaker and everybody loved it.

Young, who has been associated with actresses like Margot Robbie, also noted that such “tiny little dresses” look good on Gomez because people get to see her flawless skin and “gorgeous” legs.

“Personally, I always want to see her face and her shoulders,” Young said.

The stylist also explained that she wanted the “Good For You” hitmaker to feel “bright” and “positive” for stepping into a “new era.”

The news about the meaning behind Gomez’s AMAs dress comes a couple of weeks after the 27-year-old superstar revealed that 2019 has been one of the best years of her life, professionally and personally, because she has achieved a lot of things that she did not think she would be able to.

“I can say that I am so proud of how hard I worked, and I that I truly am excited to just sit back with my family, and enjoy, and turn off everything,” Gomez said.

The musician released two new songs recently, “Lose You To Love Me” and “Look At Her Now.” Both songs have been declared massive hits by critics as well as fans, with “Lose You To Love Me” becoming Gomez’s first song to reach the numero uno position on Billboard Hot 100.

The “Same Old Love” hitmaker also revealed that she is now looking forward to making 2020 even better.
