Serena Williams Hits The Beach After Confirming Pregnancy [PHOTOS]

Serena Williams is spending some quality time with her soon-to-be husband after confirming her pregnancy. The tennis champ hit the beach with her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, over the weekend.

On Saturday, Williams took to Instagram to post a photo of her at the beach. The expecting mom did not write a caption for her post, but the photo showed a beautiful view of the beach, drawing attention to the white sand and blue water.

In another Instagram post, the tennis player has her back turned toward the camera as she faces the sea. “‘With great power comes great responsibility’ Uncle Ben,” she wrote in the caption.

Last week Williams finally addressed the pregnancy rumors plaguing her for weeks by posting a photo of herself in a yellow bathing suit on Snapchat. The athlete captioned it, “20 weeks,” confirming that she is carrying a child. However, she later deleted the photo on her Snapchat story.

Kelly Bush Novak, Williams’ rep, confirmed to The New York Times that the no. 1 female tennis player in the world is indeed pregnant. The athlete will apparently miss the rest of the 2017 season. However, she will return to the circuit in 2018.

Williams has been giving fans and supporters huge surprises lately. On Dec. 29, she announced her engagement to Ohanian on Reddit. The couple reportedly hit it off in 2015, but it was not until the fall of 2016 when the tech mogul appeared on Williams’ account. Thus, many were surprised with William’s engagement announcement, and the same goes for her pregnancy news. However, her friends and fans are all happy for the bride-to-be and mom-to-be.

Although there seems to be a lot of things on Williams’ plate at the moment, she did not forget to greet her dear friend, supermodel Gigi Hadid, on her birthday. Williams posted a sweet greeting for Hadid on Instagram. She wrote: “Congrats to my love @gigihadid on another year. You always amaze me no matter how many years pass. (And you always laugh at my silly jokes lol) Love you angel my personal sweetheart.”
