‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2 Spoilers: Will Clary, Jace Find Jonathan In Episode 18?

“Shadowhunters” Season 2, episode 18 will see Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jace (Dominic Sherwood) searching for Jonathan (Elias Toufexis).

In “Awake, Arise, or be Forever Fallen,” the Shadowhunters are on high alert after the attack that took place at the Institute in the previous episode. Jonathan is the main suspect for the deed, and everyone wants to get ahold of him. However, Clary and her fellow Shadowhunters will struggle with finding him.

In the teaser released by Freeform for the upcoming installment, Jace tells another male character that it would be difficult to find the real Jonathan. Jace also fears that Jonathan will be mistaken as one of their own since he could pretend to be someone else.

Elsewhere in episode 18, Simon (Alberto Rosende) and Maia (Alisha Wainwright) will help a downworlder as the Seelie Queen (Sarah Hyland) demands an immediate answer from Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) and Luke (Isaiah Mustafa). In the clip, Magnus also shares plenty of screentime with Alec (Matthew Daddario). The couple is lying on the bed and talking about their future plans. Magnus tells Alec that there are a lot of difficult decisions he would have to make, and the latter is the only one who is keeping him sane.

Towards the end of the clip, Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) finds Max (Jack Fulton) lying on the floor covered with his own blood. He looks like he’s been killed.

While at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con, the cast of “Shadowhunters” Season 2 hinted on the death of one of the most loved characters in the series. There were speculations that Max will be the one to die since executive producer Todd Slavkin said that the final moments of the series will be similar to that in the books. In the novel, Max died. “Part of it, we were just following the order of the way things happen in the books. And as you reach the end of the season, that’s where the big climactic moments are,” he said.
