  • Moakler said that even if she was not pregnant, having more kids in the future was not out of the question for her

Shanna Moakler clarified her pregnancy status weeks after announcing that she was expecting a baby.

Moakler made a pregnancy announcement earlier this month after her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, got arrested for felony domestic abuse. However, she said that she was not pregnant in a recent statement.

"OK, I am not pregnant," Moakler said in an exclusive statement to Page Six. "I received a false positive test due to the fact I had taken a hormone called HCG to help me lose weight for 'Big Brother.'"

She added, "It is the same hormone that is produced when a woman is pregnant resulting in the false positive."

Even if the 46-year-old model was not pregnant, she clarified that she was still open to having babies, saying that expanding her brood was "not out of the question for me."

Moakler announced her pregnancy after her blown-out fight with Rondeau that led to the latter's arrest.

"I took a pregnancy test and it is positive," she previously told People. "This has been a very difficult week, but I'm taking everything day by day."

Rondeau was taken into custody in the Los Angeles area and charged with felony domestic abuse. He was released on the same day after paying the $50,000 bail. The arrest came after he posted an aggressive video on social media alleging that Moakler had cheated on him.

He made derogatory comments about Moakler and claimed that their relationship was already over. He also claimed that Moakler was not over her ex-husband, Travis Barker, who is now engaged to Kourtney Kardashian.

After his release, he took to social media and expressed his disappointment and sadness to see how the truth had been "flipped."

"Today was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life," the 29-year-old model wrote on his Instagram Story. "To my family and friends, I just want you to know I love you so so much. You know I'd never lay a hand on another woman. My mother is my angel and my best friend. She raised me right."

Meanwhile, an unnamed source told Us Weekly that their issues escalated after the "Celebrity Big Brother" finale. They were allegedly celebrating but got into a fight. Moakler left their home to "give him space and came back in the morning." However, they got into another fight when she returned.

"They've gotten into fights before in the past. This one just got out of control," the source continued. "They definitely have a toxic relationship and go through this toxic cycle of breaking up and getting back together. Friends think she deserves better."
