  • The Shiba Inu game will launch next year
  • Shiba Inu fell 32% last week

Shiba Inu announced Monday that they will be launching their very own Metaverse project called Shiberse. According to the official tweet, Shiberse will be launched this year and will offer an immersive experience for SHIB enthusiasts in the upcoming Metaverse space.

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer on the Shiba Inu project, had been hinting about a Metaverse entry over the last few months.

With the announcement, the Shib Army has taken to Twitter to express its excitement about the project.

The Shiberse is set for launch before the Shiba Inu game goes live in the first quarter of 2023.

Amid the bearish sentiment in the crypto market, this came as a piece of good news for the token. Shiba Inu fell over 32% in the last week and the Shib Army was aggressively suggesting developers burn a part of the supply to counter the crash and take steps to cap the future supply of the token.

Not much has been revealed about Shiberse yet, but the image posted along with the official tweet shows a SHIB dog with an ax in its mouth.

Despite the excitement, the Shib Army is apparently not very thrilled about the name Shiberse.

To humor them, Shytoshi had to make an announcement that the name has not been finalized and may be changed in the future.

Many experts are apprehensive about the fate of meme coins like Shiba Inu. But the announcement about the metaverse project has offered some hope to investors.

Shiba Inu had previously announced that they would launch their own blockchain to reduce the expenditure on gas. These announcements and plans have instilled confidence among experts on the Shiba Inu coin's future.

Meanwhile, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in an interview with UpOnly Podcast, that he had received 505 trillion SHIB tokens in May 2021 and had burned most of them.
