Shiba Inu, the altcoin introduced in August 2020 as the DOGE-killer, has certainly gone a long way and as it celebrates its second year in the cryptocurrency industry, the development team announced the official name of the SHIB Collectible Card Game (CCG), testing schedule and other details about the new project.

The official Twitter account of Shiba Inu announced Monday that the highly anticipated CCG project of the community is officially called Shiba Eternity. Details about this new game are scarce, but the official ShibaEternity subreddit launched a few weeks ago has a lot of information about the game.

The subreddit revealed that the latest game features 10,000 Shiboshi heroes with "jaw-dropping visuals, hundreds of uniquely beautiful cards, action-packed battles, and an awe-inspiring lore-driven environment that draws you into each heart-stopping encounter."

Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama joined the celebration and dropped a couple of game cards available in the soon-to-release game. "And with that said, may we add an Ancestral Blessing to the #ShibArmy on this birthday and a moment of silence for those who Sold Early," Kusama stated along with an image showing the game cards' Ancestral Blessing and Sold Early.

There is no beta test schedule or release window yet, but the project is anticipated to launch sometime this year or in September at the earliest. The development team is currently working with PlaySide Studios, the gaming studio handling the game's development, for its testing and release schedule. So far, Shiba Eternity is set to launch on Android and iOS devices.

Last May, Kusama hyped the Shib Army when they dropped a major clue about Shiba Eternity, saying it is "more than just memes, battle cards, and awesome art" but features a narrative that "gives depth" to the plot.

Kusama noted that "nothing like this has ever even been attempted" since the story they created "spans not only this galaxy, but the next while giving a continuing plot for the game and MV (without imposing any limits). This narrative also contains many other partnershibs, including Shib CCG, Shiboshis, Shiba Fashion (John Richmond x Shib), Shib Food (Welly), Shib.io (Metaverse), and utilizes the Shib Financial Ecosystem."

SHIB was trading down 6.57% at $0.00001171 with a 24-hour volume of $433,179,204 as of 3:50 a.m. ET on Tuesday, based on the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
