Another celebrity will be able to call themselves a “Dancing With the Stars” champion after the Season 27 finale, and there are several good reasons to believe that the person who will do that is going to be Milo Manheim.

The “Zombies” star and pro partner Witney Carson have been one of the best teams throughout the ABC competition, and have often turned in performances which seriously impressed the judges. Now, with the shocking elimination of the sure frontrunner, Juan Pablo di Pace, Milo seems even more poised than ever to win the ABC show’s Mirrorball, and there are several reasons why he’s likely to be crowned as the champion.

Pros:

He Has Talent

Milo has proven throughout the season that he knows not only how to move, but how to put on a great show with his routines. It took no time at all for his scores to improve drastically, with his only low score hitting him on Week One. He’s remained mostly stagnant since, but his average scores are the highest for a reason. He’s seemingly the one to beat, and he’s shown that throughout the season.

He Has A Passionate Fan Base

Milo may not have a massive resume, but he has enough credibility from his time in the Disney Movie “Zombies” to have built a passionate fan base going into the competition. His charismatic personality throughout the competition has likely only added scores more, and he’s probably the one to beat when it comes to fans.

He’s Never Been In Jeopardy

Though being in jeopardy isn’t necessarily a sign of being in the bottom, never finding yourself there is something that can usually be a boost to a celebrity. Milo just so happens to have never landed in that position this season, which is something that could be to his benefit.

He Has Witney As A Partner

Of the teams in the finals, only one features a pro who has managed to clinch a Mirrorball before—which can be a huge advantage. That happens to also be Milo. Witney won the Mirrorball in Season 19 and knows what it takes to craft a winning freestyle routine, which often determines who wins. That could be a massive advantage for them that the rest of the teams simply don’t have.

Cons:

Fans May Underestimate Their Need To Vote

Of course, being the current front-runner doesn’t guarantee that Milo’s fans will think they need to vote as strongly as they do. That was likely the scenario that faced Juan Pablo and led to his shocking ouster during the semifinals, and if Milo’s fans don’t vote as strongly as his competitors’ because they think he’s safe, it could derail his entire space in the competition.

Witney Is A Prior Champion

While Witney having a Mirrorball to her name is a good thing, it could also prove to hurt Milo’s chances. The show has been trending in recent years towards handing the Mirrorball over to teams where the pro has never won before. That could be a big disadvantage for Team Witlo because the other three pros in the finals—Alan Bersten, Keo Motsepe and Sharna Burgess—all have no Mirrorballs to their name.

This Season Has Been Full Of Surprises

This season was the one more than any other to prove that it was full of surprises and could be unpredictable. In all honesty, it’s anyone’s win to take, meaning Milo isn’t really a shoo-in in the end.

The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 27 finale airs on Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
