Simon Cowell Told Louis Tomlinson To ‘Man Up’ After Getting Briana Jungwirth Pregnant

One Direction fans are still obsessing over the news that member Louis Tomlinson is going to be a dad. The pregnancy announcement broke late last week, but there is one person that knew about it before the media hype – “X Factor” judge and mentor Simon Cowell. The record producer recently revealed the advice that he gave to the boy band singer.

Tomlinson, 23, is expecting his first child with friend and former flame, Briana Jungwirth, 23. Jungwirth is reportedly due in early 2016.

“I said to him, ‘You man up,’” Cowell told the Sun. “You’re fortunate because you’re in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that.”

Cowell found himself in a similar situation when he welcomed his first child in 2014 with Lauren Silverman … the wife of his friend, Andrew Silverman. At the time he told the UK’s Mirror (via Us Weekly) that he had to “man up” to the situation as well.

“It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone,” he said at the time of the affair. “It just happened. You have to deal with it and man up to it.”

And Louis Tomlinson appears to be taking Simon Cowell’s advice. The pop star is reportedly looking into establishing a home near Jungwirth’s Los Angeles pad. According to People magazine, the two families have even met and are excited about the upcoming new addition.

However that doesn’t mean everything has been easy. A source revealed to People that the attention Jungwirth has been receiving has put a strain on the expectant mother.

“She’s a private girl,” the insider told the magazine. “Everyone’s hoping she can have a smooth pregnancy in peace.
