"Sister Wives" fans poured their love and support for Christine Brown after she decided to end her relationship with Kody Brown.
The couple, whose relationship has been featured on the TLC show "Sister Wives" since 2010, announced the split Tuesday through separate statements posted to their individual social media accounts.
In the statement she posted on Instagram, Christine, 49, said she and Kody had "grown apart" and that she's chosen to leave after more than 25 years together. They share six children together: Asypen, 26, Mykelti, 25, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.
Fans rallied behind Christine following the announcement, taking to the comments section of her post to shower her with love and praise after her difficult decision.
"Sending love to your kids," one fan commented on Instagram. "Christine, you are a strong, smart, authentic woman and a wonderful momma... [It's] great that you are able to show your kids what a strong woman does."
"Oh my god, I'm so happy for her! What a strong woman," another wrote with a high-five emoji.
One follower said she was delighted that Christine finally got the courage to stay away from the "misery and heartbreak" of watching Kody having time only for Robyn, adding, "Good on you, Christine."
Kody, 52, tied the knot for the first time to Meri Brown, 50, in 1990. He married his second wife, Janelle Brown, 52, in 1993, and third wife, Christine, in 1994.
His fourth wife, Robyn, 43, became the first new wife to enter the family in 16 years when she and Kody got together in 2010. In order to legally adopt Robyn's three children, he had to divorce Meri, but the pair have remained in a spiritual union.
Other fans also claimed that Christine made the right choice in leaving their polygamous relationship as Robyn appeared to be Kody's favorite.
One person commented on Twitter, "Kody seems to only want Robyn."
"Yay! Finally, Christine checked out," another tweeted. "It’s clear Kody’s main interest is in Robyn and her children. To not have been there for his daughter's invasive surgery speaks volumes of his selfish, egotistical, character! Christine is beautiful inside and out. Kody doesn’t deserve her!"
"Good for Christine, Kody is the worst," another added.
Following the split announcement, an unnamed source told Us Weekly that those who knew the family were not shocked by the news and that Christine had been planning to leave Kody "for a while" now.
According to the insider, Kody's "devotion" to Robyn for "the past five or six years" had been a big part of the split. His world "completely stopped" when Robyn entered the picture, the source added.
Kody also addressed the split on Instagram, saying that Christine's decision to leave "comes with a great deal of sadness." He added that they enjoyed many years together and that he has a "large amount of respect and admiration for her." Kody also vowed that they will remain committed parents to their children.
"Sister Wives" Season 16 premieres on Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
