Is ‘SNL’ New Tonight? 5 Things To Watch On March 23
“Saturday Night Live” is not new tonight, but “SNL” fans can still spend a night on the couch. There is plenty to watch on TV on March 23.
“You Don’t Mess With The Zohan” (11:05 p.m. EST on Comedy Central) “SNL” alum Adam Sandler stars in this movie as Zohan Dvir, an Israeli soldier fighting terrorists. He fakes his death to follow his true dream: becoming a hair stylist in New York. However, Zohan learns his nemesis is still alive, so he has unfinished business.
“The Hangover Part III” (11 p.m. EST on IFC) Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis have all hosted “Saturday Night Live,” and they play buddies in this movie. It’s time for the Wolfpack to head back to Las Vegas to get Alan (Galifianakis) through a crisis.
“Lost in Translation” (12 a.m. EST on Vice) “SNL” alum Bill Murray stars alongside the sketch show’s go-to Ivanka Trump impersonator, Scarlett Johansson. An aging movie star meets a conflicted young college graduate in Tokyo, and they connect over being in a foreign city and a little lost in their lives.
“Good Morning Vietnam” (11 p.m. EST on Outdoor Channel) Robin Williams plays Adrian Cronauer, a funny DJ sent to bring the Vietnam soldiers a little laughter. Williams, who made plenty of “SNL” appearances throughout his lifetime, was nominated for an Oscar for this performance.
“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m. EST on NBC) Of course, there’s always the rerun. The show will rebroadcast an episode from earlier in Season 44 where Halsey served as both the host and musical guest.
“SNL” will return to NBC with new episodes next week. On March 30, “Killing Eve” star Sandra Oh will host and Tame Impala will perform. On April 6, “Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington will host for the first time while Sara Bareilles serves as musical guest. The April 13 episode will bring back Emma Stone as host while K-pop sensation BTS performs.
